I am a rising artist who is currently earning a master’s degree in counseling and art therapy at Lesley University. My work within the field of mental health counseling has inspired me to affirm the healing potential that art-making can provide, as a form of communication, expression, and release. I believe that we are all born with creative potential, and it is something that must be nurtured continuously throughout our lives in order to promote consciousness and introspective growth.
My art seeks to invite discussion about ethics, social issues, and the human capacity for growth, and encourages others to do the same. I enjoy most art mediums, although my preferred mediums include linocut printmaking, ink drawing, and digital design. Through my various means of art-making, I explore human nature as well as elements found in our natural world to create eye-catching, thought-provoking pieces. I ground my work in themes of empowerment, growth, positivity, and resilience and seek to become a source of inspiration and education for others. Additionally, I have recently engaged in creating sustainable, reusable products to support myself and the needs of our planet.
My art-making has become a form of release, expression, and self-care for me during the process of graduate school and current work as a mental health counselor. Making art has also provided me with much-needed financial support as I continue on my journey, both personally and professionally. I hope that you will consider supporting me as an artist and small business owner by sharing my work, sending kind words and opportunities, or shopping at my Etsy store!
